Vickie Hardeman and Mark Jones from PPD Legal Services, Inc. present the many types of identity theft.  Vickie and Mark told us how to protect ourselves and our businesses from the criminals.  The time and effort involved in fixing a problem like this is astronomical.  The laws involved do not always protect the consumer.  The best piece of advice is to be proactive and try to prevent identity theft from happening.

Pat McCarron, Employer Services Liaison Officer from the Social Security Administration, presented updates from SSA for 2007.  Just a few of the changes for 2007 are no new Box 12 codes, the social security number field has moved to Box A on the W2, and the control number has moved to Box D.   Pat will be retiring at the end of June.  We will all miss her.
